Job Description

Business Development Manager (uncapped commission)

The Preston based Samuel James Group is a progressive media company, providing media support to organisations, from PR through to full marketing management and contract publications, as well as producing a series of B2B online and print publications.

Some of our core publication products include; Business Lancashire, Business Manchester, Business Merseyside, Your Startup and Your Wedding Day, with more exciting products to be announced.

We are now recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our expanding team, based in Preston but covering the North West, with the regular opportunity to work from home or Burnley.


·Achievement of jointly agreed KPIs

·Generating sales leads and converting into sales

·Participate in relevant business networking events to raise product profile and generate leads

·Provide sales and support across products

·Create tailored offerings to customers

·Attend regular meeting with potential clients to build strong long-term relationships

You must have a hard-working ethos, having demonstrated initiative and results within the B2B sales environments.

Ideal candidates will be keen and motivated. Core duties will include building relationships with both potential and current clients, media sales into both online and print outlets, promotion of the Samuel James Group’s products and offerings to the wider business community.

The Samuel James Group is offering an excellent basic salary along with a generous uncapped commission bonus scheme.

This is not your average 9-5 sales role, The Samuel James Group offers a flexible and employee centric workplace environment with flexible working hours and a very friendly office environment.

Advertising sales experience will be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given.

The package offered:

·Basic salary of up to £25,000 p/a

·Phone, Laptop and Mileage allowance

Uncapped commission earnings

·Immediate start & permanent position


·20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

You will be used to working to deadlines and must be passionate about delivering your KPIs.
